This is an kinetic novel, there is no game mechanics here, no player protagonist, no choices, and the only thing you can do is look at the story in front of you.
The plot and story focuses around Eliot, a human from our world and his story after he mysteriously wakes up in a foreign world where his only lifeline is a werewolf-like person that is willing to help Eliot find a way to the nearest safe place, however the road there is a long one and their vastly different lives will make living and understanding each other a difficult challenge to face while traveling.
I want this story to focus on the characters, their wants and needs, the way they view things and their ability to communicate with each other to make this new uncomfortable lifestyle bearable as they gradually learn how to live together.
For the technical side, I plan for this project to be something as high quality as i can make it, with most character's expression and poses being unique and non-reusable, with some of said expressions and some elements that'd id want to animate, if possible, with a good soundtrack that I'll commission from multiple artists i want to support!
Ideally, I'd want this project to have a visual rhythm similar to storyboards.
The story main points have already been written down and it will be divided into 3 tomes/books that'll each have 4 chapters.
When it comes to length, the demo will be around 8 to 10 minutes, and ideally each chapter would last around 90 to 120 minutes, and while im aware that it's prob not much compared to the standards of other visual novels, the goal is to have a polished, very detailed and visual experience that needs much more artwork than most visual novel projects, so with the amount of work being increased per scene, it's normal that the overall length of the experience is shortened to lessen the overall workload.
The project will not be updated bit by bit publicly, and public releases will only occur when a full chapter is finished.

any news about the ubdate ? do we know a month or do we know if it will be this year? im just curious i dont mind waiting for ubdate tbh the game seams REALY good so far and i am just realy exited .
Unfortunately As always, i can't give a date, or even say it's going to be soon.
But I am working on it as much as i can between commissions and my own free time, and there's also the fact that I don't work on it in a chronological order, meaning that instead of doing one chapter at a time, i do a bit of all chapters, which makes it so the first chapters takes a long ass time to make, but it also makes it so every following chapter will take less and less time!
I don't think it justifies the slow pace, but at least you know im working on it and your time waiting isn't wasted!

But do keep in mind that i unfortunately can't work on it 24/7, that it ain't the only thing im working on, that i sometimes to take long ass break, that i also work slowly, and that in the end, im not giving myself any deadlines and such as im trying to not rush myself, this project is important to me and it's more something im doin for myself than others.
But i do 100% agree, im taking a long ass time, in fact ever since around february, i've paused the billing and such on my patreon because I felt like i wasn't able to share enough content per month or so. And it's not like im acutally spending every hour efficiently, i procrastinate a lot, and waste time rewritting scripts, re-ordering scenes and such. So yes, i agree, +1 year is a long time with no public content.
However, as far as i know, you're not losing anything on your end, i appreciate the patience you had, and im sorry for abusing it, but if ANYONE is actually losing something from the ridiculous amount of time it is taking to work on it, it's me, and i deem that loss of time to be worth it, for me at least.
Take your time developing it because it's your project to develop and well, no matter how long it takes it's sure to be great!
Good luck, work your best and make sure you don't push yourself by letting people rush you.

Amazing VN I loved the demo, art style, the humor, the design of the characters, they were a great 10 minutes, I would be delighted or preferred even more if it was furry with furry this VN but with human with furry it's okay.

hey just wanted to say your art style is very picturesque and something very pleasant to look at. the world building that is put in place for this VN seems pretty interesting too ^^ I wonder how you will expore it though this visual medium.
one thing tho I was wondering if it's not overly difficult to work with these many expresions and poses for the characters the visuals look almost animated with this amount of poses. which is impressive but i just wonder if its not overly difficult.

Obviously i try to take short-cuts when i feel it won't go too far from what i had in mind so i don't have to spend my whole life on this project hah
In fact I've done some change of plans and instead 5 chapters a book (or 5 episodes a season ?) I've decided to cut a lot of fluff and shorten it to 4 of them.
But my goal isn't simply to tell the story i made, but push myself and see what i can do if i aim to do something great, something i want to be proud of for my whole life!
However i don't think that "having more sprites" automatically makes a VN better, it's just that in this specific case i feel it's more than necessary since i don't plan on adding narration, and i also don't want to write too much of the characters inner thoughts too.
Basically instead of a "visual NOVEL" i wanna do a "VISUAL novel"!
My standard for this is: If you can figure out, even if only vaguely, what is happening without reading any text on screen, then i succeeded.
(Obviously due to the nature of some scene being focused on the content of a discussion instead of an action in the world, some scenes will have much more limited sprites variety and won't be held to that standard.)

It quite good,thou may my only complain is how the font colour in the main menu. It a great colour for it that blend well to the design, but I recommend to somewhat make the outline of the font more visible to the eye and pleasant because for the few min of just opening I was greeted with blinding screen for a sec. That all

Definitely not, public updates only happen when a chapter is fully finished, that means many hundreds of sprites, many individual backgrounds, writing and rewriting stuff, and audio work too.
I know you peeps are waiting a long time, and im thankful for your patience, but even if i were to spend 16 hours a day on it, it still would not be finished in 2023.

i did not expect this at all. this might be the most original V.N iv'e ever seen so far, and its only a demo!
the fact were seeing through the mc's eyes is really amazing, we really just are omnipresent and watch the story. no reusable models of different faces. but actual scenes! its amazing!
the style is pleasant, not to real but not to cartoonish.

In the five minutes it took me to read the demo, this has to have some of the most potential out of any VN currently out in early stages.
I can already tell that this VN is utterly oozing with prose and inspiration. I cannot sing to you how refreshing it is to (within five minutes) experience a slice of a world that has been in the works, living, breathing & moving since before I clicked download. The concept art only goes to show my point! This has an absurd amount of potential and I cannot wait to see what comes next of it; all efforts applauded, no holds barred.
P.S. this font is super neat, it's like comic sans but not an eyesore!
P.P.S. It's amazing to see a world that has been tweaked and developed for so long through a story that doesn't take itself too seriously, that's something many professionals forget.
